Basic NeXBC Guide
Follow these
simple tips
to help
NeXBC run
without
complications.
1) Turn off
all
firewalls
and
anti-virus
programs
which may
cause block
traffic.
2) Make sure
your Xbox is
detected
prior to
setting up
the game you
wish to
play.
3) Shut down
all other
programs
using
bandwidth,
for smoother
game play.
How Do I
Host A Game
With NeXBC.
1) Logon to
NeXBC and
click the
'NeXBC LAN'
tab near the
top.

2) Then you
will see two
'boxes'.

3) Look over
at the 'box'
labeled
"Host a game
on the NeXBC
LAN".

4) Now,
begin to
choose the
type of game
you want to
play. Then
press "Enter
LAN"
Here's some
terminology.
Game Type -
This will
determine
what type of
game you are
playing (
CTF | TS |
FFA | KOTH
).
General
Location -
This filter
is to help
find what
region you
are in, so
NeXBC can
find you
closer
joiners.
Player
Rating - You
use this
filter to
determine
what skill
level you
are, and
those
seeking it.
Game Has
Xbox Live
Content - If
you have
downloaded
XBL's maps
and extras
then choose
"Yes".
Prefer
Players -
This will
make it
easier to
get the
correct
amount of
players.
My Xbox Type
- This
filter is
for
compatibility
reasons, for
games such
as Halo.
Only Visible
to my
buddies -
only people
on your
buddy list
can see the
game.
Lock game
when in
progress -
This will
prevent
other from
coming in.
Keep Game
Locked -
Self
Explanatory.
5) Then go
to the
System link
screen of
the game.
(using Halo
for example)
Press Y to
create a new
game.
6) Sit back,
relax and
enjoy as
people join
your game.
How Do I
Join A Game
With NeXBC.
1) Logon to
NeXBC and

games system
link mode

& onto the
screen where
it says
"searching
for games".
5) Go back
to NeXBC and
apply all
that you
wish.

of the

Game Type -
This will
determine

game you are

).

Location -
This filter

this skill
or higher -
You will be
able to
choose a
rating and
play with
those with
the same or
better
rating.

or lower -
You will be
able to

rating and
play with
those with
the same or
lower
rating.
Only games
with ping
less than -
This is just
a typical
ping filter.
Show only my
buddy's game
- The only
persons game
you will be
able to see
is that if
they are on
your buddy
list.
Game Has
Xbox Live
Content - If
you have

6) When you
have chosen
all press
"Enter LAN"
then run to
the couch
get comfy
and enjoy
the games.
